The National Mourning Day has been observed by Bangladesh International School and College on 15 August 2023 to commemorate the assassination of the country’s founding father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, along with most of his family members. There was a special prayer for the martyrs and tributes were paid through discussion session on the life of Bangabandhu, poem recitation, songs etc. Various competitions such as art, essay, handwriting, Hamd and Nath and poetry were organized and prizes were distributed among the winners.

We hope to turn our grief of losing Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib into our strength. Our firm pledge on this National Mourning Day should be to build a prosperous Bangladesh as dreamt by the Father of the Nation through reflecting the glory and ideals of his long struggling life in our actions.
