Bangladesh International School and College celebrated the historic day, 7th March, as on this day in 1971, the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered a speech at Race Course Maidan in Dhaka to call upon the people for the potential war of independence.

The day was observed paying tribute to the Father of the Nation as well as organising a cultural program and different competitions throughout the day. A special prayer was held for our great leader. Few students delivered the speech to recreate the moment of 7th March 1971. Drama, poems and songs by the students and teachers were part of the tribute to the great leader Sheikh Mujib, the architect of independent Bangladesh.

Through this celebration, our students learned a valuable teaching on freedom and unity. Bangabandhu will be a role model for them on a personal level. No wonder Bangabandhu’s 7th March speech is celebrated as one of the greatest speeches in the world.
