Bangladesh International School and College observed Sheikh Russel Day on 18 October 2022 in a befitting manner,  marking the 59th birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s youngest son Shaheed Sheikh Russel.

To mark the day, elaborate programmes were conducted at BISC premise. There was a special munajat for Sheikh Russel and his family. A colourful rally was arranged at the campus, where all students, staffs and faculty members joined. There was a discussion session, cultural program and a documentary show for the students. A wall magazine containing poems, story and artwork on Sheikh Russel was displayed. A friendly football tournament was held and a sapling was also planted at the school premise. 

The aim of observing the day was to convey the thought that Sheikh Russel had been a symbol of innocence, lively and fearless child. We also want our children to grow and shine as a fearless generation.
