Bangladesh International School and College observed Martyred Intellectuals Day on 14 Dec 2021, with due respect and solemnity to pay tributes to those who lost lives days before Bangladesh’s final victory in the War of Liberation in 1971. This is a day of remembrance for the large number of intellectuals who were killed by Pakistani forces in 1971.
Students and teachers met up in Zoom sessions and brief discussions were held on the significance of the day. Students learnt about the incident, persons who were martyred, reason behind this incident, monument built in memory of the martyred etc. They also shared their knowledge. Photographs and videos related to the incidents were displayed by the teachers to impart a clear idea about the incident. We hope our students would respect the sacrifices made by the intellectuals and contribute to building a greater nation altogether.
