Bangladesh International School and College celebrated the International Mother Language Day on 21 Feb 2023

to acknowledge the invaluable contribution of languages to the development of individuals, societies, and cultures.

To observe the day, the students, teachers, faculty members and staff took a barefoot walk to the school’s own martyr’s memorial Shaheed Minar to pay homage with flowers, wearing traditional black and white dress and singing songs. An encouraging number of parents and students were present to observe the day. Teachers and students spoke on the occasion. A cultural program was conducted which included poems, songs and dance. It was followed by several competitions such as চিত্রাংকন প্রতিযোগিতা, নান্দনিক হাতের লেখা প্রতিযোগিতা , রচনা প্রতিযোগিতা,  দেশাত্মবোধক গানের প্রতিযোগিতা,  দেশাত্মবোধক আবৃত্তি প্রতিযোগিতা etc. The winners were awarded medals as a recognition of their talent.

The observation of International Mother Language Day on 21st February in school premise will surely promote the awareness of the cultural diversity, linguistic and multilingualism among our students.
